Let’s just appreciate Miranda Kerr’s style…

I think we should take a second to revel in all of these outfits Miranda has been sporting around New York City the past week. I mean, have you ever seen a more stylish mom? And Flynn is also one of the cutest and best dressed little toddlers. She looks so chic with her bun, black blouse, skinnies, and trusty leopard flats holding her dog Frankie. I would literally steal her wardrobe in a millisecond.

Fashionable Food: Crumbs Bake Shop

My birthday two days ago, and cupcakes are literally one of my favorite desserts. I love cupcakes from Betty Crocker to Crumbs, my favorite cupcake shop. I cannot walk by Bryant Park in New York City or past the kiosk in Union Station in Washington, D.C., without stopping to purchase a Crumbs cupcake. I first went to Crumbs Bake Shop a few years ago, and that changed my entire cupcake world. I went to Magnolia Bakery the same day, and Crumbs won the best cupcake competition hands down.

Crumbs cupcakes are huge, moist, and absolutely delicious. The decorations are not too fancy, but are still reflective of flavor and tasty looking. My favorite Crumbs flavor is the vanilla/chocolate sprinkle, but s’mores, grasshopper, and cookie dough are also excellent, to name a few. I also love how Crumbs sells a little sample pack, with a dozen mini cupcakes in different flavors, so you can try a little bit of everything, if you aren’t in the mood for a gigantic cupcake. For my 18th birthday, I even ordered Crumbs online and had them shipped for my party instead of having a cake (unfortunately, there is no Crumbs Bake Shop in my home state…sigh). The best part about Crumbs is that there is no huge 30-minute wait line to get into the shops (Georgetown Cupcake, anyone…?)

Street Style of the Day

Literally obsessed with Miranda Kerr‘s outfit as she left her NYC apartment on Friday. I love denim button down shirts, and her oversized gray coat is a perfect addition. Her leopard print loafers really add a twist to the outfit, and I have been looking for a pair of leopard print ballet flats, but after seeing this outfit I may begin the hunt for some leopard print smoking slippers…

Miranda Kerr heading out to a rehearsal for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City. Love her black tights paired with those leather shorts. Also her interesting and unique boots. Pretty much her whole outfit is fantastic. No surprise there.

TOMORROW!

Here is another street style shot with one of my favorite angels, Miranda Kerr. Yesterday she was out-and-about in NYC preparing for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Also, Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn are officially walking in the show! Can’t wait.

Fashionable Food: Pinkberry

I consider myself as a bit of a frozen yogurt connoisseur (along with cupcakes). I love froyo.  If I am out and about and pass by a froyo shop, I am going in to satisfy my froyo need as well as seeing how this particular froyo stacks up to ones I’ve eaten in the past. By far my favorite frozen yogurt, hands down, goes to Pinkberry. I first heard of Pinkberry years ago, when I learned how the Jonas Brothers love visiting the famed froyo stores. Since there were no Pinkberry locations in my state (sob) I visited Pinkberry for the first time in New York City. I love Pinkberry’s original flavor, and I love how tart and crisp and delicious it tastes. My Pinkberry standard toppings are strawberries, chocolate chips and granola.

Pinkberry’s first store opened in 2005, and 7 years later they are already a dominant name in the froyo industry and have a huge following. Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Kim Kardashian, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rachel Zoe, Jake Gyllenhaal, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Ashley Greene, the Beckhams and way more have all been spotted visiting this iconic frozen yogurt chain for a yummy (and semi healthy) snack.

Pinkberry always sell their original flavor, as well as seasonal flavors. Right now those flavors are: chocolate hazelnut, mango, coconut, pomegranate and peanut butter. (In the past they have had a pumpkin flavor, which I’m sure was delish). Toppings include fresh fruit, dry items (like granola, cereal, chocolate chips, nuts, and more), as well as some liquid toppings like honey, caramel, pomegranate juice or chocolate sauce, and “luxe” toppings of Nutella, lemon cookie crunch and chocolate cookie crunch. Not only limited to frozen yogurt, Pinkberry sells fruit parfaits, smoothies, waffle cones and cookies, and fruit bowls.

I know if I lived near a Pinkberry location, I’m sure I would gain at least 5 lbs from frozen yogurt.

Fashionable Food: momofuku milk bar

momofuku milk bar is my newest NYC discovery. I first heard of the bakery this year during Fashion’s Night Out, when Karlie Kloss teamed up with momofuku milk bar to create the “fashionably wholesome” cookie line, “Karlie’s Kookies.” The perfect 10 kookie is the first cookie of the “collection.” Karlie worked with chef and owner Christina Tosi to create the vegan, gluten-free and agave-flavored “kookie.” Each perfect 10 kookie sold, Lauren Bush Lauren’s charity FEED Projects donates 10 school lunches to children in poverty around the world. “I am really into health and nutrition and baking has always been a passion. I take these cookies on shoots, to fashion weeks, to my friends’ houses – everywhere. They make you feel good and you are doing good,” Karlie told British Vogue.

momofuku milk bar is a bakery with five New York City locations in East Village, Midtown, Upper West Side, Williamsburg and Carroll Gardens. They sell cookies, pies and cakes, along with soft serve, coffee, shakes, croissants, bread, and of course, jugs of milk. I had the cereal milk flavored soft serve with topping when I visited, and it really did taste like milk from cereal. momofuku milk bar also makes unique wedding cakes, with unfrosted sides to display the layers of cake.

The cookies sold here are known for their unusual, yet delicious, qualities. momofuku milk bar sells the compost cookie, which contains pretzels, potato chips, coffee, oats, butterscotch and chocolate chips all mixed together into one yummy cookie. Other cookie flavors include the cornflake cookie, which has cornflakes, marshmallows and chocolate chips (um, yum). The corn cookie, confetti cookie and blueberry and cream cookie are other momofuku milk bar creations. They also sell their crack pie (toasted oat crust & gooey butter filling), grasshopper pie (graham crust, mint cheesecake, brownie filling), candy bar pie (chocolate crust, caramel, peanut butter nougat, pretzels), and franken pie, which includes slices of all the pies. Not to mention the adorable little cake truffles they sell.

All of these cookies and pies I certainly think are fashionably delicious.
