Fashionable Food: Pinkberry

I consider myself as a bit of a frozen yogurt connoisseur (along with cupcakes). I love froyo.  If I am out and about and pass by a froyo shop, I am going in to satisfy my froyo need as well as seeing how this particular froyo stacks up to ones I’ve eaten in the past. By far my favorite frozen yogurt, hands down, goes to Pinkberry. I first heard of Pinkberry years ago, when I learned how the Jonas Brothers love visiting the famed froyo stores. Since there were no Pinkberry locations in my state (sob) I visited Pinkberry for the first time in New York City. I love Pinkberry’s original flavor, and I love how tart and crisp and delicious it tastes. My Pinkberry standard toppings are strawberries, chocolate chips and granola.

Pinkberry’s first store opened in 2005, and 7 years later they are already a dominant name in the froyo industry and have a huge following. Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Kim Kardashian, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rachel Zoe, Jake Gyllenhaal, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Ashley Greene, the Beckhams and way more have all been spotted visiting this iconic frozen yogurt chain for a yummy (and semi healthy) snack.

Pinkberry always sell their original flavor, as well as seasonal flavors. Right now those flavors are: chocolate hazelnut, mango, coconut, pomegranate and peanut butter. (In the past they have had a pumpkin flavor, which I’m sure was delish). Toppings include fresh fruit, dry items (like granola, cereal, chocolate chips, nuts, and more), as well as some liquid toppings like honey, caramel, pomegranate juice or chocolate sauce, and “luxe” toppings of Nutella, lemon cookie crunch and chocolate cookie crunch. Not only limited to frozen yogurt, Pinkberry sells fruit parfaits, smoothies, waffle cones and cookies, and fruit bowls.

I know if I lived near a Pinkberry location, I’m sure I would gain at least 5 lbs from frozen yogurt.
